Slayers Revolution: Pocota

Description

For those of you who haven't hear, Slayers is going to have a new TV series, called Slayers Revolution, airing in Japan this July. And no, it's not a hoax. Check out this page on QP Diana's webpage: [link] Apparently it's going to be loosely apapted from Slayers novels 9-15. Except it's gonna have Lina, Gourry, Zel, Amelia, and Xellos in it. All of this makes me insanely happy.
Anyhoo, the weird looking guy on the left in this pic is a new character named Pocota. Does anyone else think he's an excuse to sell plushies?
This drawing pretty much sums up my initial reaction to seeing him. HE FREAKING LOOKS LIKE TERRIERMON!
Drew both of these by tracing pictures I found on the internet.

Edit (Jan. 2010): Having watched Revolution/Evolution-R, it seems my initial suspicions that Pokota was just a merchandising excuse were way off the mark. He's a cool character in his own right, and was central to the plot in a very organic way (as opposed to just tagging along with Lina and co., or being being awkwardly shoehorned in at the last minute). He also managed to integrate himself surprisingly well into the existing Slayers group (Lina, Gourry, Zel, and Amelia). After Wizer, he was easily the best new character in Rev-R.

Yes, I realize the series has been out for well over a year now- it was only recently that I rediscovered what I had said in my description here, so I figured I'd set the record straight.

Late to the party, but I am watching Revolution right now. I had an attempt in the past, but never got past second episode. Now I am at 2nd episode itself and I had random thought about Pokota looking like Terriermon. So I googled it and found it. I am glad that someone else realized it too :D
